Springtime Workshops at Lyons Art Supply!
May 15th – Life Drawing with Art Martinez
For intermediate to advanced students learn to draw from a live model in the style of the Old Masters. Charcoal and paper are provided. Fee is only $10 for instructed drawing of a costumed figure. Supplies included. 1pm to 4pm
May 22nd – Printmaking with Marelyn Larios
Learn relief printmaking from linoleum block-carving extraordinaire Marelyn Larios. All skill levels are invited. Fee is $40 for three hours from 1pm to 4pm. Contact the store for a list of recommended supplies.

Artist Trading Card Swap and Workshop!
at Lyons Art Supply on Saturday, April 30th from noon to 5pm. Everyone is welcome!
Come swap Artist Trading Cards (ATCs), make ATCs with the supplies provided and have fun! For more information contact Mark at 562 577 7263.
This months challenge: Make ATCs about Gardening or Flowers then come and trade them with other artists!
This months CONTEST: Submit an ATC for judging by 2 pm and the winner will receive a $10 gift certificate!
For those not in the ‘know,’ ATCs are 2.5×3.5″ (standard playing card or trading card size) works of art in any media. They are swapped one-for-one with another artist. Artist Trading Cards are NEVER sold.

Lyons at Night is in downtown Long Beach on March 12th from 4pm until 10pm!

Check out the BMX installation! Aaron Bostrom and friends are putting together their own construction to showcase their BMX tricks in Lyons’ own parking lot!
Live entertainment! THREE DJ’s this time! DJ Chee-bo will start the night with his eclectic music, DJ Boogie follows up with some down and dirty rock and roll and DJ SUBYETI closes the night with his set of grinding dubstep.
Twenty-five artists and artisans will sell their wares in the Art Fair area including. . .

Lyons at Night – Ultraspecial Valentine’s Edition!
Come to Lyons Art Supply on Saturday February 12th from 4pm to 10pm to experience Lyons at Night – a showing of the best entertainment, arts and crafts, food and drink that Long Beach has to offer!
Over 20 of the best artists and artisans will be exhibition works and handcrafts for sale in our enclosed parking lot.
Korean Tacos by Sura Korean BBQ, raw food by Elevated Edibles and drinks provided by Cafe Ambrosia.
Nathan Hudson will be bringing BA Moto for a showing of motorcycles to be pinstriped by their own pinstriper, Scooter.
Live painting by Steven Kleindorfer, Pete Buchan, Anna Wooten and Alex Rios.
TWO very special performance by Sirena Serpentina. Watch them wiggle their hips with some hula hoop at 730pm and a very special performance not to be missed at 930pm.

Michael Pukac’ Acrylic Painting Workshop
Attend Michael Pukac’ acrylic painting workshop on Sunday January 30th from 1 to 4pm and learn his technique to create depth and realism to your paintings.
A modest supply list will be provided for students and all attendees will receive 40% off of their purchases that day!
